Dominik Sarapata has graduated this month, by defending his M.Sc. thesis. All the best for him, back in Poland.

Work toward the presentation of results by Carla Oliveira and Michal Mackowiak is progressing.

EARTH – http://www.ict-earth.eu
Filipe Cardoso is preparing the contribution to Deliverable D4.1 “Most Promising Tracks of Green Radio Technologies”, and the edition of a chapter on Multi-Antenna Techniques. António Serrador has presented energy efficiency metrics for radio resource management and related cost functions on cellular networks.

eMobility – http://www.emobility.org
Diana Ladeira has begun work on the technical requirements of applications in the areas of health, transport and environment (energy).

NEWCOM++ – http://www.newcom-project.eu
Work is progressing on channel models for BANs, by Carla Oliveira, on Joint Radio Resource Management, by António Serrador, and on Wireless Mesh Networks, by Lúcio Ferreira.

monIT – http://monit.it.pt
The 2011 edition of Prémio monIT is starting with invitation letters were sent to schools, libraries, science and youth associations, etc. Registrations will be available from Oct. 11th to 25th.

SAIL – http://www.sail-project.eu
Daniel Sebastião and João Gonçalves are starting the work for the first deliverables that are scheduled for the end of October. Lúcio Ferreira and Luisa Caeiro presented a contribution to the “Open Connectivity Services” work package (WP-C), describing the planned contributions.
