Architecture and Design for the Future Internet

Objective

Improve the ability to design interoperable and complementary families of network architectures, that enable the co-existence of multiple networks on common platforms through carrier-grade virtualization for networking resources. Also enhance the utility of networks by making them self-managing, iincreasing their robustness and efficiency by leveraging diversity and improving application support by a new information-centric paradigm in place of the old host-centric approach.

WP1 "Business Innovation, Regulation and Dissemination": WP co-leadership, responsible for the dissemination of the project; yse cases and business models for the future internet.

WP3 "Network Virtualisation": Radio resource management in multiple virtual networks.

WP5 "Forwarding and Multiplexing for Generic Paths": Use of the Generic path architecture in a research on channel management for wireless mesh networks. WP4/WP5 "In Network Management for Generic Path": leadership of the cross-WP task.
