António Serrador has issued a document addressing metrics for energy efficiency, considering users’ and network/systems’ approaches. Filipe Cardoso has started the work on direct contributions to Deliverable D4.1 “Most promising tracks of green radio technologies”.

The Applications chapter of the Strategic Applications Research Agenda has been finalised with contributions from Diana Ladeira, being publicly available at the project’s website.

Work is progressing on channel models for BANs, by Carla Oliveira, on Joint Radio Resource Management, by António Serrador, and on Wireless Mesh Networks, by Lúcio Ferreira.

The continuous monitoring in Lisbon was concluded, and a report on the collaboration with the City Council of Lisbon is available. monIT’s website got a makeover, and will have a new image. The theme of the 2011 edition of Prémio monIT is “Radiofrequencies and Society”, registrations being available in October.

Daniel Sebastião and João Gonçalves are preparing the contributions for the first project meeting, with some research done on scenarios. Lúcio Ferreira and Luisa Caeiro prepared a contribution to the “Open Connectivity Services” work package (WP-C) they’re involved in, describing the planned contributions, and their contextualisation within the WP.
