5. Website

A new page in the GROW website identifying the academic OPNET research and educational projects within GROW has been created. GROW has acquired several academic licenses of this tool, several researchers being currently working with it. The aim of this page is the creation of an interest group within GROW to share experience on this tool.

This is a powerful and complete simulation tool that is being adopted worldwide by R&D labs., manufacturers and operators. It enables realistic simulation of several systems, containing modules for the main telecommunications systems (UMTS, 802.11, WIMAX), and being possible to modify them or to create new ones. It uses a comprehensive language based in C++, and contains graphical interfaces which present all kinds of performance results.
